Google Business Profile management service

I manage Google Business Profiles for businesses in Glens Falls, Albany and across the Capital Region, so you show up in the map pack with accurate details, fresh photos and great reviews. Choose ongoing management or a one-time optimization.

Options

Two ways to work with me

Some businesses want their profile handled every month. Others just need it done right once. Here’s how the two options compare.

Option 2 · One project

One-Time Google Business Profile Optimization Service

A single project. I fix, fill out and optimize every part of your profile, then hand it back with a guide to keep it going.

  • Full profile audit and competitor check
  • Category research and a new description
  • Services, products and attributes built out
  • Photo cleanup and tracking links
  • Review link, QR code and a handoff guide

Best for: new businesses, owners who like to do it themselves, and profiles after a move or rebrand.

Not sure which one fits? I’ll look at your profile for free and tell you honestly which option makes sense, including if you don’t need either.

Why it matters

Why your Google Business Profile matters for Capital Region businesses

When someone searches “plumber Albany” or “pizza Glens Falls,” the map pack shows up above the regular results. For a lot of customers, your Google Business Profile is the first and only thing they see before they call, ask for directions or move on to a competitor.

Google ranks local results on three things: relevance (how well your profile matches the search), distance (how close you are to the searcher) and prominence (how well known and well reviewed you are). Nobody can move your building, but good management improves the other two: the right categories and services make you relevant, and steady reviews, photos and activity build prominence.

Your profile also feeds the AI answers Google now shows in search and Maps. Those answers pull from your business details, reviews and website, so an incomplete or outdated profile gets passed over.

Active management

What’s included in active Google Business Profile management

Everything your profile needs to stay accurate, active and ahead of the competition, handled for you every month.

Accurate information and the right categories

Your name, address, phone, website and hours match everywhere. I research the primary and secondary categories your top competitors use, so Google knows exactly what you do.

Regular Google Posts

Updates, offers and events posted regularly so your profile looks active and gives customers a reason to choose you: new projects, seasonal specials and news.

Fresh photos

Real photos of your work, team, storefront and parking help people recognize you and decide faster. I add new ones regularly and get rid of outdated or unhelpful ones.

Review monitoring and responses

Every review gets a thoughtful reply. I help you ask happy customers for reviews the right way, without incentives or review gating, which Google doesn’t allow.

Services, products and attributes

Your services and products are listed in detail with the words customers actually search, and your attributes, like accessibility, online estimates and payment options, are kept up to date.

Holiday, seasonal and snow-day hours

Special hours for holidays, summer seasons and Capital Region snowstorms, so nobody drives to a closed door and leaves a one-star review about it.

Protection from unwanted edits and spam

Anyone can suggest edits to your profile, and Google sometimes accepts them. I watch for changed hours, wrong phone numbers, duplicate listings and spam competitors, and fix or report them.

Answers customers and AI can find

With Google phasing out the Q&A section, the details on your profile and website do the answering. I make sure the questions people ask are answered in your description, services and posts.

Citations and NAP consistency

Your business name, address and phone number need to match across directories like Yelp, Bing and Apple Maps. I find and fix the mismatches that confuse Google.

Monthly reporting in plain English

Calls, direction requests, website clicks and the searches that found you, with tracking links so you can see how many visitors come from your profile. No jargon, just what changed and what’s next.

Process

How active management works

  1. Free profile review

I look at your profile, your top competitors in the map pack and your current reviews, then tell you what I’d fix first.

  2. Manager access, not your password

You add me as a manager in Google Business Profile. You stay the owner and can remove access at any time.

  3. Cleanup and full optimization

In the first month, I fix categories, details, duplicates and photos, and build out your services, products and description.

  4. Ongoing monthly work and reporting

Posts, photos, review responses, hours and monitoring every month, with a short report and a check-in by phone, email or text, whichever you prefer.

Local

Google Business Profile management in Albany, Glens Falls and the Capital Region

I’m based in Glens Falls and I know how differently the map pack plays out from one town to the next. In Albany and Colonie, categories like dentists, HVAC and law firms are crowded with chains and agencies along Wolf Road and Central Avenue, so reviews and small details decide who makes the top three.

In Glens Falls and Queensbury, there’s usually less competition, but many profiles are only half finished: the wrong category, old hours, no photos. A complete, active profile can stand out quickly.

Seasonal businesses need extra attention. Lake George shops and restaurants that open for summer and Saratoga Springs businesses that get slammed during track season need hours and posts that change with the calendar. And when a snowstorm shuts you down for the day, updated hours save your customers a wasted trip.

Fixes

Google Business Profile problems I fix

If something is wrong with your profile, I can usually find out why and get it sorted.

Suspended or disabled profiles

I find the guideline issue behind the suspension, fix it and file the reinstatement request with the right evidence.

Verification problems

Stuck on video verification or a postcard that never came? I help you get through Google’s verification process.

Duplicate listings and wrong map pins

Duplicates split your reviews and confuse Google. I merge or remove them and make sure your pin is in the right spot.

Lost owner access

A former employee or old agency owns your profile? I help you request ownership back through Google.

Spam competitors and fake listings

Fake listings and keyword-stuffed business names push real businesses down. I report them through Google’s official channels.

Fake or policy-violating reviews

Reviews that break Google’s rules can be reported. I handle the reporting and follow-up, and help you respond to the rest.

FAQs

Google Business Profile management questions

What does a Google Business Profile management service include?

It keeps your profile accurate, active and protected. With me that means correct categories and business details, regular Google Posts, new photos, review monitoring and responses, holiday and seasonal hours, watching for unwanted edits, spam and duplicate listings, and a plain-English report every month. If your listings on other sites don’t match your profile, I clean those up too.

How much does Google Business Profile management cost?

It depends on the scope: how many locations you have, how competitive your category is, and how much cleanup your profile needs. I review your profile for free and then quote a flat price, so you know the cost before any work starts. If you only need a one-time cleanup, the one-time optimization is a single project instead of an ongoing plan.

Do I keep ownership of my Google Business Profile?

Always. You stay the primary owner. You add me as a manager, which you can remove at any time, and I never need your Google password.

How long until I see results?

Fixes like the right categories, accurate hours and removing duplicates can make a difference within a few weeks. Building prominence through reviews, photos and links takes a few months. Distance is the one ranking factor nobody can change, so results depend on where your customers are searching from.

Can you get bad reviews removed?

Only reviews that break Google’s policies, like spam, fake reviews or conflicts of interest, can be reported, and Google makes the final call. I report those for you and help you respond to honest negative reviews in a way that makes future customers trust you more. Be wary of anyone who promises to remove reviews.

Will you respond to reviews for me?

Yes, if you want me to. I write responses in your voice, or I can draft them for you to approve first. Every review gets a reply, good or bad.

Do you work with service-area businesses that don’t have a storefront?

Yes. Plenty of contractors and home service businesses around Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties work from home. I set up a service area and hide your home address the way Google’s guidelines require.

What happened to the Q&A section on Google?

Google has been phasing out the questions and answers section on Business Profiles and leaning on AI-generated answers instead. Those answers pull from your profile details, reviews and website, so a complete, accurate profile matters even more now.

Do I still need a website if I have a Google Business Profile?

Yes. Your profile links to your website, and Google uses your website to understand what you do and where you do it. The two work best together. If your site needs help, see my website design service.

Is a Google Business Profile free?

Yes. Creating and running a Google Business Profile is free. With a management service, you’re paying for the time and know-how to run it well.
