AI SEO services for Capital Region businesses in the 518

Your customers are asking Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity who to hire. My AI SEO services get your business into those answers. I'm Bobby, and I run ADK SEO REV out of Glens Falls. I do every bit of the work myself, I only use white hat methods, and every plan is month to month.

Why AI search matters

If AI can't find your business in 2026, you might as well not be on the internet

That sounds dramatic, but look at what happens when someone searches now. Before they see a single website, Google shows them an AI Overview: a written answer at the top of the results page that pulls from a handful of sources. When I searched "ai seo agency" from Glens Falls this week, the AI Overview sat right at the top, above every regular result. Plenty of people read that answer, pick a name and never scroll down. Those are zero-click searches, and near me searches are going the same way. They're becoming the normal way people search.

Google isn't the only place this happens, either. People open ChatGPT and type "who's the best roofer near Clifton Park?" or ask Perplexity to compare two law firms in Albany. The AI-generated answers name a few businesses and skip everyone else. If your business isn't one of the names, you don't get the call. Your website can still be live and your Google Business Profile can still be up, but to that customer, you don't exist.

So if AI tools can't find you or don't trust your site enough to cite it, you're handing those customers to whoever they do recommend. In a lot of 518 towns, that's one or two competitors who got there first. The good news is that most local businesses in the Capital Region haven't done anything about this yet, so the spots are still open.

Where your customers are asking now

Google AI Overviews

The AI answer at the top of regular Google searches. It pulls from pages Google already trusts.

Google AI Mode

Google's chat-style search, where people ask follow-up questions and get a written answer back.

ChatGPT

Used more and more for "who should I call" questions, from plumbers to lawyers.

Gemini

Google's assistant, built into Android phones and Google apps.

Perplexity

An AI search engine that cites its sources with links back to the websites it used.

Microsoft Copilot

Built into Windows and Edge, and it runs on Bing search.

Every one of these pulls its answers from websites, reviews and business listings. When someone in Saratoga Springs asks for the best plumber in Saratoga, the AI looks for a business with clear service pages, solid reviews and consistent listings, then decides who to mention. Most of my AI SEO work goes into those exact signals, on your site and off it.

AIO, GEO and AEO

What AI SEO services cover: AIO, GEO and AEO

You've probably seen a pile of new acronyms for this. They overlap a lot, and most marketers use them loosely, so here's what each one means in plain terms. All three fall under my AI SEO services, because the work behind them is mostly the same.

AIO

AIO: Google AI Overviews and AI Mode

AIO stands for AI Overview optimization (some people say AI optimization). It's about getting your pages cited in Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. Google pulls from pages it already trusts in regular search, so AIO starts with a technically clean site and pages that answer questions directly. I wrote a full breakdown in What Is AIO? Does My Business Need It? if you want the long version.

GEO

GEO: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot

GEO means generative engine optimization. "Generative engines" is the industry name for AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot, which are built on large language models that write answers instead of listing links. Generative engine optimization services focus on getting those tools to mention and recommend your business. Some of that comes from your website, and some comes from everywhere else your business shows up online. Microsoft Copilot, for example, runs on Bing, so your Bing Places listing matters more than most people think.

AEO

AEO: being the answer to the question

AEO is answer engine optimization. It's the oldest of the three terms, and it's about structuring your content so it gives a clear, direct answer to the exact question someone asks. Answer engine optimization services usually involve FAQ sections, question-and-answer blog posts and schema markup that labels your answers so machines can read them. It's the piece that ties AIO and GEO together.

SEO

How AI SEO fits with regular SEO

AI SEO sits on top of traditional SEO. AI tools still lean on the pages that rank well, load fast and have real links and reviews behind them. A site that's a mess for Google is a mess for ChatGPT too. That's why every AI SEO plan I put together starts with the same technical and content foundation as my local SEO services, then adds the AI-specific work on top.

What you get

What's included in my AI SEO services

Every plan is built around your business and budget, but these are the pieces of AI search optimization I work on. Most of this comes straight from the playbook I used for Conservation Mart (more on them below), adjusted for local businesses.

01

AI visibility audit

I start by checking where you stand. I look at whether AI tools mention your business at all, which competitors they recommend instead, and which of your pages Google trusts. I use Ahrefs to track AI responses and AI Overview citations, plus Google Search Console, GA4 and Screaming Frog to see what's going on with the site itself. You get a written report with every issue, why it matters, how to fix it and what I'd charge to fix it.

02

Technical cleanup and old content removal

Most sites I audit are carrying dead weight: zombie pages nobody visits, orphan pages with no links pointing to them, thin pages with a sentence or two and old posts that don't match what the business does anymore. That junk confuses AI tools about what you actually do. I fix broken pages and 404 errors, and I delete low-quality pages the right way, usually with a 410 status, so Google knows they're gone for good.

03

Page rewrites in plain, natural language

AI tools read your pages the way a person would. Pages stuffed with keywords or filled with generic copy (a lot of it written by ChatGPT for the last SEO company) don't give them anything worth citing. I rewrite your service and location pages in natural language that answers real questions about your business: what you do, where you do it, what it costs, how long it takes and why someone should pick you. Content like that gets quoted in AI answers and also works for voice search.

04

FAQs and schema on every page

Every important page gets an FAQ section built from the questions people in your area actually search. Then I add schema markup, like FAQPage and LocalBusiness schema, which labels your business details and answers in a format search engines and AI tools can read without guessing. This is one of the fastest ways to give AI tools a clean, quotable answer that points back to you.

05

Google Business Profile, reviews and citations

For a local business, your website is only half of it. Google's AI answers lean heavily on your Google Business Profile, your reviews and how your business is listed around the web. I handle full Google Business Profile management, set up review requests (some of my clients get automatic review outreach after every finished job) and clean up your citations on Data Axle, Foursquare, Yelp, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect and local chambers. If your name, address and phone number don't match everywhere (NAP consistency), AI tools get mixed signals about who you are.

06

Question-and-answer blog posts

The questions your customers ask you on the phone are the same ones they type into ChatGPT. I write question-and-answer blog posts that answer them one at a time, with your local knowledge and real details. A plumber in Queensbury might get a post on what to do when your pipes freeze. A law firm in Albany might get one on how long a case usually takes. These posts give AI tools specific answers to pull from, and each one links back to the service page it supports.

07

Internal linking

I connect your pages so they point to each other in a way that makes sense. Blog posts link to the right service pages, service pages link to location pages and nothing gets left stranded. Good internal linking shows Google and AI tools which pages matter most and how your services relate to each other.

08

Tracking and monthly reports

You get a written monthly report and an email update. It covers ranking changes, AI Overview citations and AI mentions, backlinks I've earned for you, SEO and AI search updates that affect you, and the plan for next month. I also track calls, form fills and Google Business Profile actions, so you can see whether the work is bringing in actual customers. If you'd rather talk it through, we can set up a Zoom call.

How it works

How AI SEO services work, start to finish

Every contract is month to month. Here's what happens from the free audit to ongoing work.

Step 1

Free AI audit

Fill out the form above and I'll email you a free AI audit within 24 hours. I'll check whether AI tools mention you and point out the biggest issues holding you back. If you want to talk it through, we can hop on a Zoom call or meet in person, and I'll tell you honestly whether AI SEO makes sense for you right now.

Step 2

Audit and plan in the first 30 days

If we move forward, we start with a discovery call so I understand your business and who you're up against. The first 30 days cover the full audit, competitor research, an AI SEO plan and any urgent fixes.

Step 3

Month two

Month two finishes the remaining audit work, like page rewrites, cleanup and schema, so your site is in good shape for AI tools to read.

Step 4

Ongoing work and monthly reports

After that, it's steady growth work: new question-and-answer posts, page updates, Google Business Profile management, reviews and citations, plus your monthly report so you always know what changed and what's next.

Pricing and contracts

  • Every contract is month to month.
  • The monthly plan that spreads the audit across the first few months has a 6-month minimum.
  • Monthly plans start at $500 and go up to $5,000 a month, depending on your market and how much work it takes.
  • Local SEO audits run $500 to $1,500. See SEO audit services.

I build every plan around your budget, and you'll get a clear quote after your free AI audit.

Local, owner-led

A local AI SEO agency for the Capital Region

Search "AI SEO agency" or "AI SEO company" and you'll get big national firms and "best agencies" lists. One of those lists puts entry-level AI SEO pricing around $2,500 a month. Those agencies are built for large brands. I'm built for the plumber in Glens Falls, the auto shop in Schenectady and the boutique in Saratoga Springs.

You work with me, not a team overseas

ADK SEO REV is owner-led, so I do all of the SEO work myself. Nothing gets handed off to a junior account manager or outsourced overseas. The only thing I send out is social media, and that goes to another local 518 agency. If you'd rather meet in person, I'm happy to grab coffee at Uncommon Grounds in Glens Falls or Saratoga, or lunch somewhere local. White hat only: no fake reviews, no PBN links and no keyword stuffing.

One business per trade, per town

I won't work with your direct competitor while you're a client. If I'm doing AI SEO for a plumber in Glens Falls, I'm not taking on a second Glens Falls plumber. It would make no sense to try to get two competing businesses recommended for the same question in the same town.

Businesses I work with

Most of my local clients are trades and home services, like plumbers, roofers, excavating companies and garage door repair. I also work with auto repair shops, retail stores, lawyers, ecommerce stores and other agencies. I'd love to work with more restaurants and dispensaries in the area.

I'm not the right fit if you want overnight results, if your business doesn't have a real address or service area, or if you're a large franchise. AI SEO takes a few months to build, the same as regular SEO.

Towns I cover in the 518

I work with businesses across the Capital Region and the 518 area code, including Schenectady, Troy and the rest of the Adirondacks. I also take on clients across New York State and Vermont.

I'd rather show you numbers than make promises. Here's what AI SEO has done for two of my clients, tracked in Ahrefs.

Ecommerce · BigCommerce · Ahrefs

Conservation Mart: from zero AI Overviews to 1.1K

1.1K AI Overview citations

Conservation Mart is an ecommerce store on BigCommerce. Their organic traffic was dropping after Google's August 2025 spam update, and they brought me in to figure out why. When we started, they had 54 AI responses across all platforms and zero AI Overview citations.

The audit turned up hundreds of zombie and orphan pages, thin category and product pages, and a lot of copy pasted out of ChatGPT by their previous SEO team. I deleted the junk, rewrote every category page and their top product pages in natural language, added FAQs and schema to every page, cleaned up the blog and fixed the internal linking.

About six months in, Conservation Mart shows up in 1.5K AI responses (461 pages) and 1.1K AI Overview citations (276 pages). That breaks down to 152 on Copilot, 122 on Perplexity, 105 in Google AI Mode, 23 on Gemini and 13 on ChatGPT. Revenue is up about 29% year to date, and they've already passed their full-year 2025 revenue. We saw gains about a month after the audit cleanup, things took off in month two, and results have gotten stronger after every Google update since.

repurposedMATERIALS: 942 AI responses across platforms

942 AI responses

repurposedMATERIALS shows up in 942 AI responses across all platforms (233 pages) and 758 AI Overview citations (188 pages). That includes 104 in Google AI Mode, 38 on Perplexity, 21 on Gemini, 12 on Copilot and 9 on ChatGPT.

Why this matters for a local business

These are ecommerce stores, but the playbook is the same for a roofer in Ballston Spa or a restaurant in Lake George. Clean up the site, stop serving old junk content, answer real questions and make your business details easy for AI tools to read. A local business has an advantage here, too. You're only up against a few businesses in your town, so it takes far less to become the name AI recommends.

FAQs

AI SEO FAQs

These are the questions business owners ask me most about AI search. Got another one? Ask me anything.

What are AI SEO services?

AI SEO services get your business found, cited and recommended in AI tools like Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot. The work includes technical cleanup, rewriting pages in natural language, adding FAQs and schema, managing your Google Business Profile and listings, and tracking where AI tools mention you.

How much do AI SEO services cost?

My monthly plans start at $500 and go up to $5,000 a month, depending on your business and how competitive your market is. Every plan is month to month, and the free AI audit comes first so you know what you need before you spend anything.

What's the difference between GEO, AEO and AIO?

They're three names for overlapping parts of AI SEO. AIO focuses on Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, GEO (generative engine optimization) focuses on tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot, and AEO (answer engine optimization) focuses on giving direct answers to specific questions. The same foundation of a clean site, clear content, FAQs and schema helps with all three.

How do I get my business recommended by ChatGPT?

Make it easy for ChatGPT to understand and trust your business. That means clear service and location pages, direct answers to common questions, schema markup, consistent listings (including Bing Places), and real reviews. There's no form you can fill out to get added, so the work is about earning the mention.

Is SEO dead now that AI answers everything?

No. AI tools pull their answers from websites that already do well in search, so SEO matters as much as ever. What's changed is that ranking alone isn't enough. Your pages also need to give answers AI tools can quote.

What's in the free AI audit?

The free AI audit shows whether AI tools like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity mention your business, which competitors they recommend instead, and the biggest issues on your website and Google Business Profile. I email it to you within 24 hours, and all I need is your email address, business name and website.

Find out if AI knows your business exists

Open ChatGPT or Google and ask the question your best customer would ask, like "who's the best electrician in Albany?" If your business doesn't come up, that's the problem I fix. Request a free AI audit and I'll email you how you show up in AI answers, what's holding you back and what I'd do first, within 24 hours.
